The EP-1 equaliser by PRODIPE GUITARS: developed and configured in France with the goal of replicating the instrument’s original sound as faithfully as possible. 3-band equalisation for customised setup. A built-in tuner so your instrument is always pitch-perfect.
An ideal-sized neck for excellent playing comfort, combined with a rosewood reinforcement under the fret, for a neck that’s slimmer but just as durable.
The exceptionally rigorous choice of wood by luthier Yao Hanson (crucial for a good instrument): a high-quality soundboard in solid Canadian cedar, combined with bone bridges (saddle and nut) for greater warmth, fullness, and striking harmonics …

We discovered a high quality guitar identical to the Spanish guitars on which it is modelled, but which sell for much higher prices. We fully support the position adopted by PRODIPE GUITARS who are trying to make guitars which are suitable for everyone but at a reasonable price.

I was immediately seduced by the Prodipe Guitars range of nylon instruments; in particular I use the Soloist 500 and the Student CT EQ. They are surprisingly light, and they really are comfortable.

I love the quality of the varnishes and the finish. After the first contact, this comfortable feeling is confirmed once you start to play. The neck, which is flatter and narrower than in "traditional" Spanish guitars, makes it very easy to play.

But make no mistake - this lady-like instrument has plenty of character if you attack more strongly or play more energetically. The Response is immediate, the harmonics are very much present and there is good balance between high and low notes right down the neck.

The Student CT EQ gives the same feeling, with a pre-amp which "does the job", giving a sound in electric mode which is faithful to the guitar, warm and bright.

The first time I heard a Prodipe guitar it was the STUDENT CT EQ model, and I thought the guitarist playing that guitar sounded great.

The sound was the first good surprise and the price was the second.

By having this guitar in my hands I abandoned the idea that a half-hollow does not project acoustically. Here the sound is balanced, well projected in acoustics and the amplification section then becomes an extension of the instrument. The playing comfort is remarkable.

A guitar that makes you want to play, undeniably, with the advantage of offering a quality / price ratio unmatched to my knowledge.

I have been using the Student CT EQ guitar daily since 2016.

As a guitar teacher at home, she indeed meets all my expectations. Its hybrid side allows me to use it for a rock, folk or classical repertoire. The cutaway makes it easy to to the treble. Easy to carry, light and slim, no more joint pain and tendinitis after long days of work.

For a rounder and richer bass sound, I also recommend to my students the Student and Student EQ models that benefit from a thicker body. For the live, the preamp/ tuner is at the top!

I can only recommend this series!
